Leaving Vanuatu

Looks like we will be leaving Vanuatu in the next couple days so thought I would take this opportunity to share a few more pictures and wish everybody a fantastic holiday season. We will be sailing to the Solomon Islands which are about 600 nautical miles from here. The weather forecast isn’t ideal but then it never really seems to be. It looks like we will have very light winds and possible calms so not sure how long the voyage will take us but we hope to make it there before Christmas, most likely I will be spending my birthday at sea.

Vanuatu has been amazing and like most places I have been I hope to return one day but it is unlikely as there are so many places I haven’t been. Kat and Seiorse are leaving as well but they are heading in the opposite direction to Australia to make some money and visit family there. They have been buying up some local agricultural products in quantity that they plan on selling at the markets over there. It sounds a fun way to support local business in the islands and make a little money selling quality, all natural products, best of luck to them. After spending the last 2-1/2 years hanging out with them they will be missed and of course we hope to meet up again someday, somewhere.

Hopefully I will have internet available before Christmas but if not Merry Christmas to everybody! All the best to you and yours, I hope you have enjoyed reading the posts from the last year and I hope there will be many more to come. Thank you so much to everybody who keeps in touch and sends me pictures, it is always appreciated. Until next time or next year…
