The waters in and around the Solomon Islands seem to have more wildlife in them than any of the places I have sailed. On many occasions we have had dolphins swim with the boat, from small pods to large ones, sometimes for a few minutes and sometimes for longer. If there is no wind and we aren’t motoring we can hear them communicating with each other. Whether they just cruise alongside the boat or preform aerial jumps flipping and spinning it is always mesmerizing.
